Nick and Alli’s story began at Oregon State University, where they first crossed paths in a winter‑term statistics class during their sophomore year. At the time, Alli was recovering from a concussion, and Nick being the charmer he is decided to make fun of her. Luckily for him, she didn’t hold it against him when later that class he asked for a ride to an EY recruiting event in Portland. That drive to Portland became the spark neither of them expected. Somewhere between the miles on I‑5 and Alli trying to impress Nick with her music taste (she played everything but country music), something clicked and from that day on they were inseparable.

They officially started dating on Valentine’s Day 2020, about a month before the world shut down due to Covid. Timing?? Questionable. But what followed ended up being one of the sweetest chapters of their story. After Alli’s sorority house closed because of the pandemic, she moved home to California for a few months. Eventually, she decided that she’d rather be in Corvallis – closer to Nick - so she convinced her parents to let her move back. They spent the next few months in lockdown together, where they found comfort, steadiness, and joy in each other. Navigating those challenging months together didn’t just strengthen their relationship — it shaped it, turning a chance car ride into the foundation of something rare and lasting.

After graduating from Oregon State, Nick and Alli entered a new chapter defined by long‑distance. With Nick working in EY’s San Francisco office and Alli in EY’s Los Angeles office, they found themselves five hours apart. Instead of letting the distance create space between them, they built a rhythm of weekend visits, late‑night calls, and countless drives up and down the California coast. Every reunion felt like coming home, and every goodbye only deepened their commitment.

In October of 2022, their lives changed in the sweetest way. Their friend Brent’s Husky had a litter of puppies, and from the moment they met one tiny, week‑old pup, they knew he was meant to be theirs. They named him Levi, and he quickly became the heart of their little family — a source of joy, chaos, and unconditional love during a time when they were still living in separate cities.

As Levi grew, so did their desire to finally build a home together. In the fall of 2024, Nick made the move to Los Angeles, where he and Levi joined Alli to start the life they had been dreaming about since that first trip to Portland. Living together felt like the most natural next step — a continuation of the partnership they had nurtured through college, a pandemic, long‑distance, and all the moments in between.

Now, settled into their life in LA with Levi by their side, Nick and Alli are ready for the next chapter. In August, they will stand together surrounded by the people they love most and officially begin the lifelong adventure they’ve been growing toward since the day they met.
